Lindsey J. Skinner
Lindsay J Skinner is Director of Education for the Ted Wragg Trust, leading curriculum and line managing headteachers from all-through and secondary schools. Previously, she was headteacher for five years at St James in Exeter, a school selected as a leader in the DfE’s Behaviour Hub program. Prior to this, she was deputy headteacher at an all-through school and an English teacher.
Lindsay created a Crafting Accurate Sentences intervention program for Exeter University which is being used nationally as part of the university’s student-led tutoring model. She co-wrote an article about the program with Lee Elliot Major OBE for the Kerslake Collection, a publication in memory of Lord Kerslake.
Lindsay has written four books with HarperCollins, three with other authors. Crafting Brilliant Sentences, her solo project, was the 5 Star Winner for the Curriculum Impact Award at the 2019 Teach Secondary Awards.
