How do I checkout as a UK school, and receive schools prices?

To check out as a school, you must be ordering on behalf of a UK school that is registered with the DfE.

Checkout using the UK Schools’ Checkout option, which you can select in the basket. You will be asked to identify your school and can select the payment method – either via an invoice sent to the school, or by using a school credit card or school PayPal or GooglePay account.

You will also be able to enter any discount or promo codes you have at this point.

If you use the UK Schools’ Checkout option, you must use your school email address, or your order will be subject to delays while the account is verified.

Should you need to use a specific purchase order (PO) number with your school order, please email your PO and order details directly to our customer service team at education@harpercollins.co.uk and they will process this for you. We cannot process a PO against an order placed on collins.co.uk.

Some products have special prices which are only for schools which is applied to the basket if you select the UK Schools' Checkout tab.

Please note that if you use the UK Schools’ Checkout option but you are an individual user or are not ordering on behalf of a school using a school email address, your order will be cancelled.

How do I checkout as an international school?

You need to checkout using the All Other Customers option, which you can select in the basket.

You will be prompted to enter your delivery address and select your payment method, either via credit card, PayPal or GooglePay. You will also be able to enter any discount or promo codes you have at this point.

If you would like to talk to your local representative please go to https://collins.co.uk/pages/find-a-rep.

How do I checkout as an individual user or Home Tutor?

You will be prompted to enter your delivery address and select your payment method, either via credit card, PayPal or GooglePay. You will also be able to enter any discount or promo codes you have at this point.

Help – I can’t find my school. What should I do?

Have you tried searching just by the full postcode? This gives the most accurate results. You don’t have to search by the school postcode and name; sometimes what you type in as your school name might differ slightly from what we have in our database so this might be why we can't find you. Your postcode is more likely to match exactly what we have. If you don’t know the whole postcode try the first three digits – you should then get a list of schools to choose from.

Why don’t you have my school in the database?

The database we use contains over 50,000 schools and is researched and updated regularly. However, we know that there are new schools being opened all the time as well as school mergers so it’s possible we haven’t found out about you yet. If for any reason we don’t have you in the database contact our Customer Service team who can get you set up.

Using promotion codes and discounts
In the basket there is a box for promotion codes – where do I get these and how do they work?

Are on letters and in emails that we send out to you and they give you discounts on certain books or digital resources. If you have been given a web promotion code then you can enter this on the basket page, click apply and the appropriate discount will be taken off books or digital resources you have in your basket which are covered by this code.

They usually have an end date, which should be stated on the letter/fax/email and they only apply to the listed items. Only one web promotion code can be applied to each book or digital resource. We try not to send out codes that clash but if you do apply more than one code to the same item the best offer will automatically be selected, so that you get the best possible price.

I occasionally see discount prices across the site. I usually order by phone - can I still get these prices if I do this?

No, these are web-only discounts and you can only get these exclusive prices if you place the order online through the website. If you are having any trouble placing your online order or there is any reason why you cannot order online please contact our customer services team and we will be happy to help.
