Imad Nasr graduated from the Lebanese University in Beirut in 2004, holds both a diploma and a post-graduate diploma in the teaching of Arabic literature and language, and is studying for a master’s degree in Arabic linguistics. He has over twelve years’ teaching experience – mostly in Oman, Abu Dhabi and Dubai – and is currently Director of Arabic at an IB school in Dubai. He is also a writer, and has written a number of poems and stories, many for children.Mahmoud Gaafar is an Egyptian writer, editor and translator. He graduated from The American University in Cairo, and has worked with languages most of his life. He has a wealth of experience working for Radio Cairo, The United Nations and Multinational Corporations operating in the Middle East. He has spent many years writing advertising and marketing material for the Arab World with a focus on English–Arabic communication strategies. He also writes materials for learners of Arabic of all ages and backgrounds, including children.
