Sarah Allen, Illustrated by Ash Roy, Prepared for publication by Collins Big Cat
A note from Sarah Allen: Writing 'Monster Ranch' was an absolute delight, bringing together my experience growing up with Turner syndrome with my love of critters and creatures of all kinds. Growing up, I didn't see my experience with a genetic disorder in the books that I read or movies I watched, and it is so much fun and such an honor to share stories of girls like me having wonderful adventures.A note from Ash Roy: I was really intrigued by the story and its endearing characters and wanted to capture the adventurous spirit of Gabby as she sets off on a quest to find the monster that’s escaped from under her bed. I loved the disability representation; books with own voices disabled writers and artists have a special place in my heart. I hope children can see themselves in Gabby while enjoying a daring and exciting tale.
