This storybook and musical show pack engages pupils through its characters and adventures so that they will choose to use the materials at home as well as in the classroom.

This original approach to learning English is designed to build pupils’ confidence in the following areas of English learning: – Reading – Comprehension – Speaking – Performing.

Memory is supported by music, as each story brings a song to capture the emotion of the scene and make the key words unforgettable.

Designed using Claire Selby’s Spiral Language System™ methodology, the content is carefully planned to develop strong use of core lexical sets effortlessly.

There are 12 storybook lesson plans, seven show scene plans, plus time for craft lessons to make the templates/activity sheets.

Teachers can add rehearsal lessons for the scenes or the musical show production that you plan. The minimum teaching time is 20 – 25 lessons.

If a full production is planned, the Little Red Dragon can fill one lesson per week for a school year (32 – 36 weeks). The full pack takes pupils on the journey to Dragon Land and back, learning English, enjoying performing and building their confidence – right to the final curtain!
